I know it stinks, but I am having a huge wedding, so we wanted to make sure most of our guest are already there before the ceremony .....it wasnt my idea..my FH family thought it would be best that way. Gotta try to please them all

that sux. but it seems like you aren't happy about it. i mean i know that you want as many people as possible there for the ceremony, but that stinks you can't do it the way you want.

The funny thing is that it really didnt bother me until now. Too busy worrying about other things. I actual did go to a few weddings that had the CH first. Wasnt bad.

Just dont want to wait around for an hour before my ceremony..but I m sure I will have my BM with me

It is a traditional Jewish custom to have the CH before the ceremony ... my parents keep suggesting it to us, but I am really insistant that I want to attend my CH!

According to my parents, it makes more sense so your guests aren't eating on top of eating ... the ceremony creates a break between all the food.

Our hall is doing a champagne and strawberries table for guests before the ceremony, but then there's the actual CH after the ceremony. We'll be eating all day
