For me it made sense to just have my one sister as MOH and that's it. But my mom and my MOH/sister are really stressing me out. Even FH said it may have been less stressful to have my friends more involved... but that was the whole point to simplify..
Anyone else ever regret this decision?

Re: Anyone having/had No Bridesmaids??
I am only having my cousin as my MOH. I know of at least one of my friends who thinks this is wrong.

Re: Anyone having/had No Bridesmaids??
I am having no bridesmaids no maid of honor. I have a dozen female cousins who would qualify for the position, as well as my sister, and mybest friend. My sister wanted no part in it, and my best friend who would be a bridesmaid for the umpteenth time was unenthusiastic so I just cut everyone out. Its been fairy drama free on that front.
I also have a lot of little kids in family age of 10, so they are going to be my miniature bridesmaids and groomsmen. Seemed more fair as everyone in the family has a connection to the kids.
Personally, I don't like the idea of all these grown woman parading in matching dresses.

This sounds really classy. I think I'm going to copy you! How do they participate? Are they part of anything extra?

I am not having any bridesmaids and my FH is not having any groomsmen. It's an indian wedding, and although modern Indian brides do have a bridal party sometimes, I decided not to deal with the hassle.

I'm have NO MOH or BMs....my FH has 3 daughters from a previous marriage that will walk down the aisle. But as far as helping with stuff, I'd rather DIY....personal preference...

I'm having MOH and he is having BM.
I'm still really glad we stuck with this decision and are having a super small BP!

Re: Anyone having/had No Bridesmaids??
it is so up to you. I would think it would be less stressful with less people.
I am having 6 BM (including my MOH- my twin sister), the BMs include my younger sister, 2 friends from HS and two friends from gard school
:) there are 6 GM including one of my friends
I could imagine not having these people, BUT most are OOT which makes it even more hard logistically

We are a little older than your average bride and groom....
My best friend from college was my maid-of-honor
My DH's best friend from college was his best man
That's all we had.....

oh good i'm glad! they will be signing our marriage license and my brother will carry the rings... we will also ask them to do the readings at the mass at the church. if they would like to make speeches they are welcome to do so as well- but i know some people are scare of public speaking so if they weren't comfortable i wouldn't force them!
