Anyone heard of FOCCUS?

I got a phone call this week from a priest at my church asking me to attend a FOCCUS meeting this weekend... anyone have ANY idea what that entails?

My FMIL researched it and said we have to take a 200+ question test!!!

Anyone been through this yet?

FOCCUS is Precana....i dont know why they call it that...but its the same thing....where are you taking it?

we took a 200 question online and then when you get to the class they go over the results with you (the coordinator and both you and FH do a sitdown) they basically say....you guys ranked 85% right in this section, 10% in this area etc....

its not so bad....we cheated though...LOL FH was so lazy to finish the whole test so i did some for him....the questions were a little too much...like 'what would you do if FH comes home drunk ' OR 'would you cheat on your FH?'

FOCCUS is an online questionnaire in addition to PreCana. FH and I each had to answer 156 questions separately re.: topics covering finance, religion, family, sex, etc. Also, the number of questions you're required to answer depends on if you live together, have children, were married before. Once we both completed the test, we then had to make an appointment with our priest to go over any answers we answered differently or were unsure of. We didn't go over the answers we had the same responses for. This isn't PreCana though, (at least for us it wasn't), it was just a part of the PreCana process. We didn't sit in a class with other couples to go over our answers and scores. We just met with the priest privately. The test isn't difficult though and for the most part the questions are straight-forward. FH and I did well on it, so I'm sure you and your FH will too!

This. We just took ours about six weeks ago. It's a test and like she said the number of questions you have to answer depends on your personal situation - 156 is the minimum which we had because it is our first marriage, we currently do not live with each other, and we are both of the same religion. The questions are pretty much straight forward. I think I posted after we were done how we did that I interpreted the question one way and so did he so we had different answers because of the wording. For example : the word interference I took as a negative connotation and he thought it just meant that there was someone else involved so we had a different answer but the question wasn't really that big of a deal. You guys will do fine! HTH!!

I took it. FH and I sat next to each other and were laughing the whole time. I don't think they appreciated that, but some of these questions were funny. They are basically checking to see if you have ever talked to each other about the future, kids, and the church.
