Anyone heard of these photogs: Gina Motisi or Bart Stevens?

Hi...I`m back to the boards, if only briefly! I can`t believe how crazy this spring has been, between work and classes. Thank God my finals are almost over! Anyway...here`s the deal. We are headed up to NY (from DC) to meet with photographers Memorial Day weekend. We have appointments so far with VIP, Patken, Imagine, and Sherwood Triart. Now my Mom gives me two more names, one of which she says her best friend`s daughter used and the other 'highly recommended,' but I`ve NEVER heard of either of them...and neither has a website we can look at! So if anyone has any info on either Gina Motisi in Stony Brook, or Bart Stevens in Commack, I`d be most appreciative! Feel free to email me directly at [email protected]. Thanks in advance!! -Alison

Bart is great but can be expensive. He works from his house.

Anyone heard of these photogs: Gina Motisi or Bart Stevens?

Any idea as to what he charges? Would he be more expensive than, say, a Mark Kauffman type? He doesn't have a website, does he?

I checked out Bart Stevens. I thought that he was extremely obnixous and VERY expensive. The thought of spending my wedding day with him made me cringe!!!

I checked out both for my wedding. I disliked Bart from the word go and didn't book him. My friend booked him for her wedding, which was 2 weeks after mine. He was insanely expensive, snippy to her guests and overexposed 2 rolls of her film with no compensation to them whatsoever. Gina Motisi was great to deal with, but her pictures were ultra traditional, not the style I was looking for. I found her prices to be about the norm. I think she's worth checking out to see for yourself.
