Planning a wedding... it is so stressful.. I feel like I never have time for anything and I am in a really intense program ( Speech Pathology) So it consumes me all the time...... I feel like I can't work as much as I used to becuase the work load is too much and the difficulty lever is way up there.... Just needed to vent a little bit... I am also having the problem that I never get to see FH anymore.. We both work the same schedule but I go to class two nights a week pretty much straight from work.. NOt fun! Wish I was done but I am only one and half semesters in!

Re: Anyone in Grad school and
I got engaged in September of 06 and finished my Master's the next August. It was stressful, for sure! That's why we planned the wedding for 08 and not 07, actually. But there was really not much reason to - I got almost all my planning done during the months in which I wrote my thesis.
Just plan your time well - schedule 'work time' and get your stuff done so that you have free time and don't have deadlines hanging over your head. You can do it! Good luck.

Re: Anyone in Grad school and
ahaha.. thanks.. It's just very overwhelming with the bills rolling in and all the deadlines as you are familiar with... I got engaged 2 weeks before i knew I was in the program so I had already started looking at dates so that was kind of too late to wait! Anyways thanks I just needed to stress and sometimes knowing someone else is going thru or has gone thru what you are.. helps to alleviate some of the stress!T hanks!

I am! And I agree with you, it does blow. I had a 2 year engagement because I wanted to get married after i was done with school and they just extended my program so I might have to take classes while I'm getting married. I'm convinced my school is out to ruin my wedding! It is super stressful, if I'm not working, I'm in class and if I'm not in class I'm wedding planning, it never ends.

Re: Anyone in Grad school and
You're not alone at all! Both FH and I are finishing up our last semester of pharmacy school this year. Between 40 hours/week of clinical rotations, night classes, trying to work at least 20 hours/week in at the pharmacy, then wedding plans? Yeah, stressful! Then FH is applying for a pharmacy practice residency for next year, so he's extra stressed... it's not fun at all! We'll both graduate on 5/17 with our Doctorate in Pharmacy! It can't come soon enough!

No one is going to like me during those 2 months. I'm going to be a raging beyotch who is stressed out beyond belief.

Sounds like we have a lot in common! I am in grad school and getting married at Land's End!!! I am in my 3rd year of law school and I'll be taking the bar exactly one month prior to the wedding.

Re: Anyone in Grad school and
Yep!
I'm on the computer 15 hours a day between work for grad school, part time (paid) work writing and wedding research.
My brain needs a break but one is not coming my way until October.
More than the grad school is the moving. I'm in Chicago, moving to DC for the Summer, then out to West Coast with FH but wedding in NY.
I'll sure enjoy the break for the wedding!!!

Re: Anyone in Grad school and
dont worry, you can do it,,im in the same boat. This is my last semester though so I will be done a few months before the wedding. Working full time , doing 40 hours of overtime a month, taking two grad course (one which includes writing a thesis) and trying to have a life is hard but it will definitely be worth it in the end!
