Anyone know a firm hiring lawyers?

My brother just got layed off...I can't even believe it because he's so well-educated, intelligent, and hard-working. I know that doesn't really have anything to do with economy-related layoffs, but you just think that with such a great education, it's not going to happen to you.

I'm so upset for him, and I was just wondering that if any of you are lawyers or know of anyone who is hiring...please FM me!!!

He has 9 years of experience, so it's not like he's new to the field.

ETA: He just got married this past July, so they just bought a house, and ALL that stuff. Time is of the essence

I am a lawyer too and the cuts are being made at every firm in every department. Would he consider going in-house? What field is he in? My law school has job posting boards for alums, does his?
