Anyone know any secrets to booking a cruise really cheap?
I'm trying to organize a group cruise next summer to celebrate my sister's 20th Wedding Anniversary. Since my sister has four kids, they want to stick to a certain budget. I'm going to look into Costco travel deals and I'm working with my agent at Liberty Travel who is fantastic, but thought some of you may know some secrets to getting a good deal. I'd prefer to stick to Royal Caribbean. Thanks.

overstock.com has some pretty cheap like 500 per person....

scroll through the thread, there are some good sites there. fh booked our RC cruise through travelocity, but it was a last minute deal.

Cruise value center, booked all my cruises thru there. FM mail me for the #. They gave us the best deals. HTH We used them for our HM to Tahiti, 3 trips to the Carribbean, my MIL used them about 10 times for European, Alaska, carribbean, Egypt, India etc.

Use cruisecompete.com. You put in the details of how many nights or what line & then companies email YOU & tell you their best price. We did this for our Med. hm cruise & the price we got was the lowest by at least 300.

That is what I was going to suggest. We got our cruise to Alaska for about $350 cheaper by using them.

The key is to wait until close to the cruise, but you don't have that chance I guess. I believe I have heard that on some lines if you book 8 cabins, you get one for free. I get e-mails everyday with great deals from www.onlinevacationcenter.com and I like to use vacationstogo.com and cruisecritic.com to get info about cruises. Good luck!

Quite honestly, we did a cruise for my honeymoon.. I went onto vacationstogo.com, and got a quote over the phone.. and posted a question with the VHB, and got a couple of responses... Dawn and Brian from cruise1 beat the price and even sent us a bottle of wine.. I loved working with them and they were so informative!! GL and HTH

I booked my HM cruise through bestpricecruises.com, but I spoke to someone over the phone. Let me see if I can find her name tonight when I get home.
