My friend is strongly considering holding her Feb wedding there in the wintergarden room (the glass ceilings) but she is worried that it might be too small for her wedding of about 140-150.
Any thoughts on this or on the place in general?

My friend had her wedding there in may of 02 with about 140. I think you can only fit 14 tables in that room so it depends on how many people she wants at a table. I remember it not being to crowded with that amount but I don't think I would go over 140-150.

Thanks...she already knows what Scott brothers is telling her the capacity is..she is just worried they are overexaggerating the capacity.
My wedding was held in a smaller room with less people so i cant really give her good advice on this issue.
I was hoping some people who have held their wedding htere or been to a weddnig there could give me the low down for her.

FH's sister is having her reception in that room in December. I've used Fox Hollow for events before but never that room. I felt by looking at it that it would be a bit small for 150 people. I think FSIL is having that amount. I knw your friend probably wants to make a decision, but I can certainly let you know on December 5th how it was.

We are getting married at the FH in 4/05 and are using the Winter Garden Pav. for our cocktail hour and the Briar Fox for our reception. We plan to have between 125-140 guests at our wedding. IMO, I think that the WGP room may be a bit tight for 140 - 150 guests.

my brother has his wedding there in june a few years ago--it was beautiful--great food and service & just a really pretty place any time of year. the room you are talking about--is that the one that kinda makes you feel like you are outisde? or am i totally not thinking of the right room--if that is the room-i think it might be a little tight for 150 people-you can't go wrong with Fox Hollow though!

We're having our wedding there next year in the same room and i personally think 140-150 may be too small. When we went there to book they were setting up the winter garden room for a reception and the tables were set up for about 100 people (5 tables on each side) and the bride/groom table in the middle at the end. I think the max should be 120-130 people comfortably. I remember them saying they can fit 140-150 there but that may be because they'll put 12 people to a table possibly.
Maybe she should go for the bigger room they have there?

Hey Stef.. I had my e-party there last August. We had approx. 200 people and had our cocktail hour in the Winter Garden Room.. There was actually a wedding in there prior to our affair and it seemed kind of a bit tight.. I dunno.. I guess I'd have to see what it looked like all set up.. but it was tight with us and there was tables all over.. no dancefloor (we had the reception in the oak room (?)..
Tell your friend to deal with Mel. he is awesome!! The owner, Mr. Scotto, is a good friend of the family, and he had us deal with Mel directly.

Does anyone have suggestions of places like Fox Hollows wintergarden room with a similiar price point? (high ceilings, lots of windows, hard flooring, etc..)
