Anyone know anything about the West Babylon area???
My uncle has an apartment that he is willing to rent me for cheap, but I dont know too much about the area....only the bad parts because I have to venture there for work. He says its a nice part of town on 5th Street..NOT 5th Avenue. Anyone know about this area???

I have a lot of friends who live in the W. Babylon/N. Babylon area. I've never actually thought there was a 'bad' area. One friend lives on 9th St., another on 11th and they all have picture perfect homes. It's a good working-class neighborhood. Perhaps if you venture over by Wyandanch it's not as nice...

yeah..once you cross over southern state, then it turns for the worse. that is a nice area and very convient to parkways,etcc...

We just moved to West Babylon & I would recommend that you stay away from the Wyndanch border - that is the *bad* part people refer to.
What is the closest cross street for 5th st?
Other than that I love the neighborhood, and a bunch of our friends have moved here recently.

My uncle lives on 5th Street ....not to far from little east neck road. It is a nice area.

Other than that I love the neighborhood, and a bunch of our friends have moved here recently.
All I know is that it is close to the Blue Lagoon...like 4 or 5 blocks away. About 5 minutes from the intersection of 109 and Straight Path. I am going to call and take a look at it before I make any decisions. I am a social worker and I have to o to some shady areas to check out people's houses, so I think I am a good judge of neighborhoods
