I would say about 3' is on the ground for eastern nassau. The roads weren't too bad but some were still icy in spots. Sunrise Hwy. wasn't bad. I heard mixed reviews from the school bus drivers from my building (a BOCES so they come from all around the county) on Southern State and some were saying Wantagh Pky was closed. Some side roads are slippery, others are clear. Drive safely everyone!

I just drove from Pt. Washington to Jericho. The LIE is fine, just wet. Everything else is horrible and slushy!! I was doing 20 and my car was still sliding all over the place.

Well my hubby called me when he got home from work, which is in Jersey, and it took him 2 hours to get home -- all of 16 miles!!!!! He said the roads were really slippery and bad.

Be careful and just drive slow, and if the idiots that drive like a bunch of chooches decide to ride up your a$$, frig 'em and let 'em pass you!!!!
