Anyone know if Davids Apple red matches Jim Hjelm Bordaux?
I dont have a swatch yet and wanted to get wraps and purses at Davids for them. Is it even a close color?

I would have to say no. I have not compared the two in person, but the base colours are completely different. Apple red is a pink or yellow based red, while Bordeaux is a violet based red. They may complement each other, but they are quite different. Also Apple red tends to have a light saturation, while Bordeaux is a heavily saturated hue.

no, bordeux ia a deep red. I know b/c my girls have that color. go with ivory, they can use it again.

yes, im gettimg my girls ivory pashminas. i think they will use them more after the wedding then a red. It looks very classy. If you need info on where to get them, FM me!

There are two different 'Apple' colors at David's. The Separates 'apple' is much closer to a bordeaux color - I wore it for a bride last June. I'm working on getting photos.
Incidentally, originally the bride had wanted us to wear Jim Hjelm, but since her mom was paying for our dresses, she vetoed them - too expensive for her to pay for all of them!
If you live in Nassau, or feel like coming out I'd be happy to let you see my bridesmaid dress to compare!
