Anyone know this...

I miscarried recently and now I am anxious to try again. Anyone know how long I need to wait to TTC after this?

When can we start trying again?

Some couples decide that they want to begin trying for a pregnancy right away, while others feel that this is too soon and need time to get over this loss. There is no 'right' thing to do, and you have to go with your feelings.

We normally recommend that you wait for your first period after going home, and begin trying from then, if that's what you decide. There is evidence that the risk of miscarriage in the next pregnancy is about 1.5 times higher if one cycle does not intervene the pregnancies. It is not imperative, however, and don't worry if you find yourself pregnant before you even have a period - many successful pregnancies have started that way! In any case there's no reason you can't make love as soon as you feel ready. If you don't want to get pregnant, talk to your GP soon about contraception suitable for you.

I am so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I too had one last year and if you ever need to talk please FM me.

My doctor recommended that we wait 2 cycles before TTC again.

thank you everyone. I will wait two just to be sure. I am sad but it does make you realize just how miraculous giving life to someone is. It is weird, some days it doesn't really upset me and other days I have such an overwhelming feeling of sadness. Hopefully this won't last too long.

Misha, I'm very sorry! I was told to wait at least 2 cycles before I could try again after mine. I miscarried in Sept and got pregnant again in Dec. Good luck!!!

I can tell you my cousin and his wife spent more than one year TTC'ing before finally getting preg. She miscarried and her dr told her to wait 1 cycle (or about 6 weeks) she got preg. 2 months later and is now due June 1

I'm sorry to hear about your loss.
My gf had a miscarriage with her second pregnancy as well. 6 weeks later she was pregnant again and all went well.
Her doc told her aftre the miscarriage she could try again when she felt up to it.
So I would def check with your doc and make sure there are no reasons that he would want you to wait.
