anyone letting their bm's pick out their own dresses??

just curious..i have decided to let my bm's pick out a dress of their style..with the only stipulation being black and long. i have one coming from out of state..and having been in a couple weddings myself ... i want them to be able to wear the dresses again.
is anyone else doing this???
i am going to buy matching faux pearl necklace/earring/braclet sets so they match that way :)

Same here. I just picked the color. They all wound up getting the same dress except my sister which was ok cause she was my MOH.

My friend did that - told them all to wear the hunter green dresses they already had in their closets.
My Mom also did that (told them all to wear green), and incidentally two of her BMs came in the same dress, just different shades of green!

I'm letting them pick since they're buying it with their own money. I just have the power to veto if I really disagree with their choice (highly unlikely). I did give them some color no-nos but other than that... they're on their own.

I did and it worked out great. I chose the color and fabric and designer (Bill Levkoff) and they all had fun!
I did the same thing - even used Bill Levkoff and its working out nicely

I let all of my girls pick out their own dresses. There were a couple of stipulations though... they all had to be the same length, color and designer. The BMs also had to get a dress that was a little more understated than the MOHs dress so hers would stand out a little more making it a little more special.

I let my MOH basically pick out the dress...we had discussed the style/color we were looking for and she found the perfect dress!!

i did! i told them the style (tea-length), material (satin with sheer overlay) and color scheme. They spent anywhere from $29 to $400, depending on what they wanted.

What I did was picked out some of my favorite dresses by Alfred Angelo. Then I let my BM try them on and they decided what they loved. From there, I told them I wanted a shade of red, but there were 15 shades to choose from, and they all agreed on a color they would enjoy, then they paid for the dresses. All in all, took us 45 minutes at the Bridal Salon to do this.

we all went together and they tried on a bunch and all agreed on one, i told them the dress had to come in brown

this is so cool!!!!!!!!
for me of course its easier..but i think also for them as well!!!!!
i can focus my neuroticism in other areas.since i have enough to go around lol!!!!!!
