I did!!! I felt soooooo guilty after too but it did make it easier while we were sitting there.
Just have your stories the same, and phone numbers and everything. I was scared they the preist was going to ask for ID, but he didnt.

I lied. I knew the church would make it an issue. We've been together for over 6 years and have lived together for over a year. The only reason we could AFFORD to get married is becasue we live together. Anyway, I don't think it is that big of a deal...

I was actually prepared to lie about our living together but FH was dead set that we should not have to feel that way. So...when they asked for our addresses we told them mine and for FH we answered SAME. The msgr. was really cool about it and didn't even blink. BUT - I can completely understand your concern. If you've been having a problem with getting a church you might feel more comfortable withholding the truth. You could use one of your parent's addresses. Our priest would not have known that we lived together had we given different addresses. He never came out point blank and asked.

Yes - We are going to see Father Wilson today. Do you know him??? He was NOT NICE to me on the phone at all but I was as sweet as pie. He told me I had to register with the parish today. He also told me he was 'swamped' with weddings. Thats not my problem!!!!

YIKES!!! Sounds like at the church you might have to lie.... I know alot of people who have done it... however, when we did our pre-cana I think almost all the couples were cohabitating besides us and they were open about it and Father Flynn didn't seem to make an issue out of it at all...

If you are having just the ceremony then thats not who will marry you. It will be deakon harry and he is sooooooooooooooooo nice... REALLY old but nice. We obviously couldnt lie about living together.. I mean we had our son with us! lol he was so nice about the whole situation. He could care less that we lived together.. and even told me that I was a wonderful mother and that my son was lucky to have such sweet parents.

Oh I totally understand. They will never figure it out so you should just lie. The only thing about meeting with him is he might push having the mass on you. Thats why usually the secretary answers the phone and she asks what type of ceremony you wanted. You can actually just request to speak to deakon harry instead.

But I cant just ask to speak to him tonight right? Who knows if he is busy and I have an appt with Father Wilson. Isnt he going to ask us for our addresses or at least give us a paper to fill out?

We didn't lie. And we had our son as well. I thought they would make more of an issue about it but my church was fine.

We didn't lie to the priest. When he asked for my address I gave it to him and when he asked FH he said 'the same as hers' and the priest didn't say anything. I think lying to the priest is not good idea. I think that is worse than just saying we live together. They are not as strict as they used to be. And I go to a catholic church. Good luck with whatever you choose to do.

Our priest didn't care. We went to 2 priests because we changed ceremony venues and neither cared but they did use my parents address for me just so they wouldn't have a headache later.
First priest didn't care if we raised the kids Catholic, lived together or anything. he just made us promise we'd pay cash 14 days before the ceremony.
Most priests know couples live together. i doubt they'd refuse to marry you over it. I'd be honest and move on.
