Anyone LIE to the priest when he asked if you live together?

I know its a horrible thing to do, but we are debating on lying to the one we meet tonight for a variety of reasons.
Just to avoid the living together before marriage/sex lecture.
We are fed up with the whole process of finding someone who will marry us.
And overall, just to make life easier.
We have been living together for almost 3 years, together for over 4.
What do you think???

we debated this a lot and decided not to lie, however when we got there, the way the priest asked the questions about 'home parish' and everything caused us to accidentally lie we told the truth at pre cana though and then gave the priest our wedding license which has both of our (correct) addresses on it

well, we didn't exactly TELL him...we gave him two different addresses though....same thing...but somehow it felt like we weren't really lying...bad bad bad!

Our's never asked?? BUT when it asked on the pre-cana info sheet for our address's we put different ones down...

He didn;t come out and ask, but he did ask for our addresses and I gave mine and FH said same. I felt a little weird about it, but think I would have weirder (is that a word?) if I lied. He didn't seem to mind.
And as others said, it is different now and I think they get that

U guys R so funny! Iwish I read this sooner. . . It made me feel like I wasn't alone in my thoughts 2 lie. Earlier 2day when I called my Parish, the women in the rectory asked me 4 all this info. I couldn't even think fast enough. So I gave the same address 4 both of us(oops!) I've been w/ FH 7 years. Living in sin, about 6 & 1/2 yrs. So when my priest called me back 2night about 9ish, & He got my FH on my cell & he was like, 'Hi Sir' . . . Stumbling over his words. (They said he returns calls late in the evening but, WO . . . That late.) Basically he had the info in front of him so I was just waiting 4 him 2 tell me If he'd marry us or not. He was pretty cool & he is holding the date at the church. Thank U know who! I guess I got lucky

we told the truth, but it has caused sort of a problem with our priest....i just didn't feel comfortable lying. i thought i might get struck by lightening at the wedding ceremony. but, lying sure would have been alot easier!!

UPDATE - We went last night, we DIDNT lie, and he is going to marry us!!!!! We are so happy, excited, and relieved!!!!

Ours was actually pleased - said that since we already 'worked out the kinks' we were obviously committed to the idea of marriage.
I was nervous, but he was totally cool with it.
He was also cool with the fact that we booked our reception hall before the church (another no-no - booking the party before the sacred event!!)

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! I'm soooo happy for you! What a breath of fresh air, huh? I still can't believe that some churches make it soooo difficult, and stressful to get married in their church... it makes no sense ~ especially with all the bad publicity that place has had, they should be trying to get back into good graces with the community!!!
I'm glad for you, girl! You can breathe easily now, and have no more 'church' stress.
