Anyone look into Lombardi's on the Sound??

Original post by BlueIGirl04

I need ANY feedback. I am on the fence about Lombardi's because of their lack of customer service. They seem like they could care less but the place is beautiful and we have limited options. Any help???????

being locals, we obviously looked into lombardi's..... and we were turned off asap. We showed up and just wanted to chat briefly with someone on an informal basis. They shoved us in a corner of the lobby where we waited 15 min. Then, a rather abrupt woman told us we can't speak to anyone about anything until we have a formal meeting, and then proceeded to tell us that they're too busy to meet with us unless we go on a weekday morning. We asked if we could at least get paperwork explaining the packages and they said NO.

I'm sure many people had a much better experience with them, but as for us, we cancelled our appointment. It was too snooty for us to handle...

This was the first hall I visited and I loved it, and I was treated very well when I was there. It is interesting to see these other opinions. This is the first I have heard anything negative about Lombardi's on the Sound! It also came recommended to me by a friend who has been a guest there and worked there as a DJ.

When I went to look I had an appointment and they made me wait almost 20 minutes...very annoying, however, the lady who we spoke too (I forgot her name) was very nice and showed us around and it took about 45 minutes...I liked it but I thought it was too pricey....
Try the Hamlets...they are all nice:
Mt. Sinai
Hauppauge

I can understand your hesitation...we looked into LOS and it was a bad experience from the beginning. A rude receptionist to a sales person who ran through everything. In the end, it was more then we wanted to pay, plus in December (just a few days before you) you wouldn't be able to see that gorgeous view (we are having a night wedding) You cannot beat Lombardi's food though.

We almost booked the Thatched Cottage, but again, got turned off by staff and ultimately their food- some of my family members got sick from it. But even before the tasting I just could not understand why they weren't trying harder to get our business.

I am so happy with our decision though-at first we thought we couldn't afford EW (compared with TC) but we worked it all out. Bottom line, you have to feel comfortable with the people you are going to be working with.

Good luck.

I have to tell you, we checked into Lombardi's on the Sound. Gorgeous. They could not hold the amount of people we wanted, so we went with Oheka.

When you call Lombardi's, speak with Pat. She is the Director of Sales (I think). She was AMAZING. The nicest woman I have ever met.

I hope this helps!
