I want something simple and nice but don't want to spend over $350 for approximately 130-140 invites.
Any suggestions?
I actually went to Micheal's and JoAnn's( in Westbury) today and was very dissapointed with what I saw.

Re: Anyone Made their own invitations?
I think you can buy nice invitations for that price. You'll just have to sift through the crappy ones first! The only print-yourself ones I've seen are those hand-made looking ones that you print on the vellum. They're ok, nothing special. I would definitely suggest looking online for invitaitons. A lot of places will do 30% off if you order online.

Ok.. I am planning on having it @ Chateau Briand and I want an inexpensive invite that will look nice and elegant for there.. that off course looks expensive.

Well, what kind of invitation are you looking for? (I'm bored and waiting for my man to get home, so I have some time to look for you!) What's your idea of elegant?

Re: Anyone Made their own invitations?
They have really nice sets at Party City. They come with 50 cards, 50 envelopes, and 50 response cards and envelopes and sell for about $25 a box. The designs are simple, yet elegant looking and for some reason, a LOT of their wedding stuff is on clearance right now (at the one in Islip anyway). I would recommend looking there.

Re: Anyone Made their own invitations?
I was going to make mine, but ended up getting them at Invitations By Dawn They were very reasonable and probably ended up costing what it would have to make them.
