FH is really good with computer stuff, so we are planning on making our own albums up after the wedding. in our contract we are getting our negatives in case we want to use someone to do it, but we don't have the money for albums right now. just curious if others have made their own albums & how they did it

Re: anyone making their own photo albums?
I haven't gotten married yet but I was on shutterfly today making my bridesmaids cards and they have this great album making section. The albums are really nice...they have leather, satin, and something else...You can put a variety of sizes on each page and even add captions if you want!!

I am leaning towards one I saw on Redenvelope.com- it is silver and there is a space in front for a pic and a plate you can have engraved.

if you wanna do online, MyPublisher.com is pretty good. you have more options to manipulate your photos and very easily. *yahoo for a coupon code for discounts.

Re: anyone making their own photo albums?
i believe only professional photographers can order albums from artleather.com. so if you're looking to make a traditional album, i would suggest using www.albumhouse.com--they sell art leather albums. i like the large futura albums (w/cutout on the front) in onyx. you can also personalize it w/your names and wedding date on the front. you can easily make a wedding album for under $250, whereas a professional photographer would probably charge you 4 times as much.
if you decide to go this route, you can develop your pictures at epixel.com (located in elmont). good luck!
