Anyone Naming their tables instead of numbers??

If so, How are you displaying them? Are you putting them where the number would go or are you putting them in frames?? TIA

Im thinking of naming the tables after all the places FI and I have been, where we met, proposed etc. I have 20 so far I think i need 2 more though..

We're naming them after golf courses, some famous, some smaller ones of significance to our friends and family. We'll be at the Bethpage Black Course, since the Carlyle overlooks it.

We decided to name our tables too for vacations we been on, engagement, jobs, pets and things important to us.

My bro/SIL did the same thing and they had named each table and put a picture/mini-story in silver frames on each table, but they had table numbers also. That is what they had written on the placecards. THink about it, otherwise all at once EVERYONE will be wandering around the entire reception hall looking for the 'Aruba' table or such--with numbers there is an order to it.

Naming them after Rock bands that FH loves...we will be putting the friends at the KISS and Motley Crue tables!!!

I like your idea. My fiance and I met at the Ren Faire so we are doing a medieval wedding, the names of the tables will be after the knights of the round table.

We are naming the tables after holiday/xmas charols (since holiday is our theme) and we may do something like this (I'm sorry, I don't know the name of the bride that did this)

Sorry, its not posting. Every table name is in a frame with a couples picture next to it. I was thinking of having pics of our dogs, our parents at their table with the name of the table next to the picture, you know, important people in our lives.

Hi! We plan on naming our tables after Love, Communication, Trust..etc.. everything that makes a relationship... We plan on putting them in frames..

we're naming them after casinos. i printed them out with dice on top of the names and then i'm going to have them on those new photo clips that you clip your picture onto..i'll post a pic once i get them all cut and printed out..

I named my tables after different poets and put the names in the frames that Westbury Manor provided. I wrote the table number really small though because I wanted people to focus on the name.

FH and I both live in VA just outside of DC, so we're doing DC named tables.
-FH and I will be at the White House
-My Parents will be at the Treasury
-BMs/GM will be at the Capitol
etc

Each will have a number too, so people can find it easier.
