Anyone not dancing with their Father?

Anyone not dancing with their Father?

If so, who are you dancing with instead and to what song? My Dad passed away 5 years ago and my Mom and I are dancing together... any song suggestions?

I may not be for other reasons but I am going to dance with my mom too (it is a surprise). I am planning on dancing with her to Because You Loved Me by Celine Dion.

I'm not dancing w/my Dad. We were never really close, so I wouldn't feel comfortable. My Mom passed away 4 years ago, but if she were alive I would love to dance w/her.
Sorry to hear about your Dad.
I found this on another post... Good luck!

I will be dancing with my mother probably to In My Daughters Eyes (that might not be the exact title) by Martina McBride

I am dancing with my mom.

As far as songs, she's undecided but the top two are:

Celine Dion's - A Mother's Prayer

and

Faith Hill's - There You'll Be

Unfortunately I'm not dancing with Dad... he had a stroke several years ago and can't move without his cane. I was thinking about dancing with my godfather but he's started some family drama recently so I guess I will only be dancing with FH.

I didn't dance with my dad. DH danced with his mother...I chose not to have another spotlight dance...I felt I was in the spotlight all day, why not just give it to DH & MIL...my mom & I stood together during their dance at the edge of the dancefloor to watch them & cheer them on.

I'm considering not dancing with my father - my 19year old son is escorting me to my groom during the ceremony so I was thinking of doing a song for all mothers and sons at the reception. Song will probably be Celine Dion's 'Beautiful Boy'

My dad passed away 5yrs. ago in April so my son will be walking me down the aisle and dancing with me at the reception. We are doing a photo montage so as my son and I are dancing they will put up pics of me and my dad as I was growing up and Im gonna have them play that song by Tim McGraw,'Live like you were dying'. He wrote it in dedication to his dad who passed away and thought it was along the same lines of how my dad thought.

My dad also passed away, about 9 years ago. My mother and I aren't going to dance because she thinks it would look weird. I might dance with my brother though--he's walking me down the aisle. FH is going to dance with his mother. They offered to have me dance with FFIL, but FH and I already look like brother and sister so that would just be weird

I danced with my mother to 'Forever Young,' by Rod Stewart. DH danced with his mom to 'Because You Loved Me,' by Celine Dion.
