Hi there, How many of you didn't or do not plan to have programs? I am getting married at my reception site. I went to a wedding in November that didn't have them and I didn't even notice until I was planning my own wedding.

Re: anyone NOT do/doing programs?
We're not doing programs. Most people just leave them behind. My sister didn't do them for her wedding last year and they weren't missed.

Re: anyone NOT do/doing programs?
We did programs, but only because we wanted to honor our deceased family/friends in a discreet way, and also because we were having a full mass with lots of people involved so wanted something for people to have to follow along.

I'm not sure about programs yet. Our Ceremony is at a church, but it is on a Friday afternoon. I am not sure how many people are going to come.

I don't think programs are a must. I wanna do them tho. But think about it. You didn't remember that there weren't programs until later. I'm sure you're wedding will be remembered for many other reasons besides not having programs.

Re: anyone NOT do/doing programs?
I really hadn't thought about it. FH I think wants us to have programs even though we are getting married at the RH and the ceremony will be 1/2 hour long. Now that I think about it, maybe we really don't need programs.

Re: anyone NOT do/doing programs?
We arent doing programs....The only time, as a guest, I found them helpful was during a Jewish/Catholic ceremony where they integrated the 2 faiths and had little explanations about each part of the ceremony and its significance on the program. Otherwise, in my opinion, as waste of paper.

Re: anyone NOT do/doing programs?
we didnt do them. we had a short ceremony at the RH and there were no special rituals to explain. i do think they are a nice touch if you want to thank special people, honor deceased loved ones, or are having an interfaith union/special rituals during the ceremony that guests might appreciate learning more about.

Re: anyone NOT do/doing programs?
I am not doing programs because although I am getting married at a church I am only having a ceremony and not a full mass....i dont see any need for a program then and it saves us $$ lol
