Anyone not doing limos?

Anyone not doing limos?

Just curious - we are getting ready at the Harborclub and it's an early wedding - so we have no need - but I feel I'm missing out on something...

We didn't use limos, since we got married at the hall... My mom drove me there, and DH took a cab with his family from the hotel, and we all got a cab back...

If you don't need it for the morning but feel like you want to have one, what about getting it for the ride after the reception?

Gramps is taking me to the ceremony in his Caddy. I'm getting married during the day and our ceremony and reception are in the same place so I didn't feel a need for it. Hotel is only a few minutes away too. I'd rather spend the money on something else.

ha, I probably wouldn't except FH really wants to, because the only time he's ever been in one was for prom.
I probably wouldn't waste money on it anyway, but his next door neighbor actually owns a limo company, and they're good friends with his parents, so he's pretty sure we can get them for cheap (if not for free).

personally, I don't see the point unless you plan on getting completely trashed at the party and won't be able to drive yourself home. Otherwise, I'd say save your money.

We did limos, but if I could do it over, I wouldnt have booked it. We booked cuz its tradition, so we didnt think twice about it. But I wish I just had my parents take us there and back. I would've used the $ toward something else (espeically cuz our limo
co. screwed us over!)

if you're getting ready at the hall, the only thing you'll be 'missing out on' is paying hundreds of $$ for a limo

if you really want one, get one to drive you and your hubby to the hotel after the wedding.

We didn't do limos. We got ready at the WM. There was a brief moment were we thought plans might have changed because our friend was sick and might not have been able to do it, so we were getting prices...Holy crap...pick up and drop off prices were absolutely sick!!! So glad he recovered!
Our friend restores classic cars...here's a couple of pics...
