anyone not doing programs and/or menus?

anyone not doing programs and/or menus?

I am debating both. my mom is not really into having either- i could care less about programs (no offense) unless it is an interfaith wedding with alot of traditions. I am leaning towards having a menu only because then the poor waiters will have to repeat themselves 250 times! my mom has this weird thing in her head bc she was at a wedding recently and her friends (who will be at my wedding) started to decide what they wanted and were being picky and changing alot. so she feels if we dont have a menu for them to know about in advance- then they wont be as picky.

Odd i know....
thoughts?

i am doing programs (but i am having a jewish wedding and a majority of our friends are not jewish).
I am not having a custom menu, but my hall provides us with a standard menu

If we do programs, we were going to diy some fun programs like these... otherwise just menus

Probably not doing either. Looking to cut costs, and Rh provides menus, I think 2 or 3 per table.

what about just making one or two for every table and putting it in a frame instead of doing one per person?

totally up to you - not necessary

i'm diy programs, so they don't really add much cost. i'm not doing menus bc the rh provides them.

I decided I am doing both DIY style. Nothing too crazy.

I feel the menu is important because like you said, waiters have to say it over and over, sometimes its hard to hear etc.. As for worrying if people get picky etc.. I am NOT worried about that! I rather them eat a meal they WANT AND LOVE rather than just pick something in 2 seconds and not being sure if thats what they really want. Plus my hall offers 9 choices for the guests.. def need a menu!

I have seen menus done like this... one per table if you don't want to make a ton for each guest.

Definitely no menus and probably no programs

The hall is doing menus.. I'm not doing custom..

And I don't care about programs either... people just leave them at church or throw them out, so really, why bother? The ceremony is pretty cut and dry, everyone knows what happens... so if you're wedding is run of the mill American, then it's a waste.

I think my RH provides menus, and we are only doing a small ceremony on site, so there's really no need for us to do programs either ... at least I think there's not.
