we skipped them....i think they are only important if you are getting married over a holiday weekend or on a monday or tuesday.

I did not do them. I am glad because I kept changing my guest list. People who I would have sent them to a year ago, I decided now not to even invite them!!
I also ended up inviting people who I did not have on my list a year ago

We're making them, only because we're the night after Thanksgiving. You never know if someone plans a vacation for Thanksgiving.

We're doing them but only because 3/4 of the guests are OOT....so we want to send the hotel info and stuff so that everyone has enough time to plan their trip.

The only reason we sent them out is because we are having a destination wedding and people needed to know wayyyyy ahead of time. I dont really think are are a must have over here though... unless you have a lot of OOT guests!!

I'm not sure yet, but I don't think I want to. Most of my OOT guests know the date because of our parents. I guess I'm just lazy too

I am thinking about doing them only becuase my wedding is in July and alot of people plan vacations in the summer.

Ehhhh. I was going to, but not anymore...I want to minimize the number of OOT guests. Also the way I figure it is if I really want someone there then they know the date already. FH will be creating a website to give to our friend so they can have a place to look it up but other than that...nope.

we didn't do them... most of the people found out just in talking to us or our parents....the only questions we got were from a couple people on dhs side about hotels to stay in- but we made sure to send out the invites a little earlier than usual with the hotel info.... i think the only time you REALLY need to do STDs are if you are getting married near a holiday, or if you have a lot of OOT guests....
We didnt do them - we havent finalized our list - would be a big faux paus (sp?) to send a date out to someone we wound up not inviting....

We are doing them for our out of town guests only and I am making them myself so they will be a little cheaper. I am also including our wedding website information on the card so they can check out all of the details and get maps and accomodation information. For everyone else we are just emailing them with wedding website information.
