Anyone not doing the garter thing??

I dont want to do this tradition at the wedding. Is that weird? Do most people do it?

I don't know if I'm going to do it, I don't really feel the need for it, but I think my mom wants me to do it. We'll see as the day gets closer.

Yeah my mom acts like its an absolute must so im not sure what to do.

I'm not... I find it awkward so it's my own personal pref. Same with bouquet toss. Not doing that either.

I'm not. I think it is cheap and classless. We're doing the anniversary dance instead of the BOK and garter toss.

I am going to wear one (as my something blue), but only for FH. I'm trying to find a nice Mets one or a Boston University one (FH is an alum)

I'm wearing a garter for ME and FH (or DH at that point!) - I'm trying to get one to match his kilt. And then I'll probably bring my bok to the cemetary for someone very special to me.

WOW i guess i am cheap and classless along with how many other brides on this board?

I dont care if people dont want to do it, hey its their own thing and people should do what makes them feel comfortable but to say its cheap and classless THank you

me neither!!! just doing cake cutting and dance with dad!! no garter toss, i'm not even having a bridal party, just my girls as the flower girls!

I'm not doing it. That and the bo-k throwing have always been my least fav. parts of weddings and I always said I would never include, much to my mother's and FMIL's dismay. They really wanted me to include that.

yeah if its not what you want then don't do it, don't feel forced to do something unless you are comfortable with it. Trust me the day of the wedding they'll get over it and not notice.
