Anyone not doing the garter thing??

Since we are a little older, and most of our friends and family are married ... many with children .... we wouldn't have had many people to participate in the tossing part of things.

DH did remove the garter from my leg, and it was funny. We got some great pictures when I surprised him with 4 garters from different sports he loves

After that was done, instead of tossing, we did the Anniversary Elimination Dance ... where the couple married the longest got the 'throw-away bouquet'

It was my Grandparents who won that, so my Grandma got the flowers.

We kept the garters. Grandpa didn't need those!

I am going to wear one (as my something blue), but only for FH. I'm trying to find a nice Mets one or a Boston University one (FH is an alum)

we qare not doing that...i think you should not do it if you dont want to...i feel like anyting goes these days...do what you want

But then I wasn't going to do the whole bridesmaids thing, and now they've talked me into it.

Actaully, no they will never talk me into it, the thought of FH going up my dress in front of my grandparents freaks me out enough.

D*mn we are classless here in queens, but i love seeing my other cheap and classless brides, at least im not alone

im not doing the garter or throwing the flowers

we r doing the dance where the longest couple gets the throw away flowers

While I admit that I am cheap and classless...I will have squirrels, icicle light and barefoot bridesmaids at my wedding

I am NOT going to do the bouquet and garter toss....most of my friends are paired off and I would rather take that time and DANCE!

But I am totally cheap and classless!

If other people want to do it, it's fine, but for me, it makes me feel cheap and classless.

Sorry if I offended, but that's just how I feel. I have no problem speaking my mind on here, which is why I said it. Whatever.
