Anyone not exchanging with fh??

Any of you girls NOT exchanging with fh for christmas..we're not..am i the only loser?!? lol..we really can't afford it right now..we're not even exchanging little things!

We are doing a limited exchange. $50 is our max.

All our $$$ is going toward the wedding.

We had planned on not exchanging, to save money for wedding things. That lasted about two weeks! We then decided to set a $30 limit, which should allow us to exchange a little something.

Plus I did not feel very much in the holiday spirit this year!?!?!? Anyone else???


I do not even feel like it is Christmas at all!!! Totally snuck up on us this year. FH feels the same way. We're usually very festive, but just weren't ready for it this year. We don't even have lights up outside our house! I feel like such a scrooge.

We got stuff for the house...I got a built in closet system for the walk in closet and walk in pantry...he got workout equipment for the basement and a chain saw to do some landscaping in the spring...

We're buying our wedding rings and giving them to each other as Christmas gifts! Instead of spending a random few hundred dollars closer to the wedding.

Us either....we decided to not exchange and do NYE in AC, b/c we love it and there was no way we could do everything.

Its just one time....next year we'lll make DH get us GOOOOOD stuff!! LOL

I originally told him that we don't have to but then I saw a video game that I knew he would like and two movies, even though the movies are kinda for me too lol. Then he said he got me some stuff too lol. So I didn't want to and then we did. But we are way more low key this year than last year!

Well we had said we weren't going to exchange gifts. FH asked me like 3 times. Our birthday's were both in October and we both went over board with gifts so we had decided to save some money and not exchange. WELL...I found out he got me something sooooo I got him something too. Nothing too crazy but I did spend $200.

we are but very little...i feel horrible bc all i got him was this billionaire boys club hoodie he REALLY wanted and i told him not to get me much but he got me more things so now im gonna kill him lol...i think on monday after work i'll go downtown to his favorite stores and get a hat and t-shirt or something which is fine bc these are the things he really wants, or maybe i'll go to bloomies or macys so this way i can put it on my cards bc i cant really spend the cash i have now.

Kristin-you just bought a house so its perfectly fine and lets not forget abut the wedding...i am here doing very little for x-mas just bc of the wedding so i cant even imagine if we bought a house...hey the house can be both your x-mas gift, what can be better than that

nothing - no gifts to anyone except for my niece and nephew fh and i are doing nothing since we have no money

Just doing some stocking stuffers. We are going to Cove Haven in January so that is our present to each other. Plus all other money is going to the wedding...

we are exchanging, but we decided to make it things we would need for the wedding.

for example. i asked for my wedding jewelry, and gave him a few ideas of what i was looking for.

we're not exchanging gifts this year - trying to spend as little $ as possible... although i did go to a sample sale a couple of weeks ago and got him 2 ties and a sweater because he's been going on interviews so he needed them sooner than later. i basically did the bare minimum w/ family, didn't even do friend gifts. next year will be better!

i am not really in the holiday spirit this year either. just spent the day at the mall buying the little things, got everything done, but not motivated to wrap anything! LOL
