Re: anyone not going on their honeymoon right away??
We aren't. We are getting married at the end of April and taking our honeymoon the first week in July. If I get a job as a teacher I can't really take off so to be safe we booked it in the summer. I think we will go away for a few days after we get married. It bothers me we aren't going right after but nothing I can do.

We were thinking about waiting because FH owns a pool business and when we are getting married is like prime time for pool openings but we decided to go right after the wedding anyway.

any thoughts on where you might go if you were to go away in Feb?? I LOVE the idea of going to europe...FH and i have never been before! we are going to spend one week in a place on the coast of italy and prob another week in Rome. The prob is....i heard that italy is still pretty cold in March even in April, colder than in the US. so that's why we would have to wait.

Since we are going to Italy, we had to plan our wedding date around my job so I we could go on our honeymoon right away. I did't want to have to wait until a break from school to be able to go.

We were thinking rome, venice, paris, spain, and a few more places. still looking into the details. late march, early april might be good. depending on the winter we're having you can usualy tell how the weather will be there. (this past january in greece people were still going for swims at the beach)

We're waiting about a month in between. It was FH's idea: he figured that this way, after the wedding, we won't have as big 'post-wedding blues' because we'll still have something great to look forward to.

That is an awesome way to think of it. I am going to look at that way from now on. :) I was so upset not going right away but now I have something to look forward to after it also.

We are going away two weeks after. The weekend of wedding (SAT, SUN, and Monday) we are getting a hotel room and spending our time there. Then two weeks later we are going on a min-honeymoon to one of the carribean islands. Then a few months later take a big honeymoon to hawaii.

We may not go right away. We are getting married the end of November. The restaurant business is very busy for the holidays and January is slow, so if we wait its only going to be for a month or so.

I have no clue but i was thinking about all this...I mean alot of people book their HM about a year in advance, and if i do it soon i think it will be weird to put in at work for 08 when i havent even done vacation days for 07 lol...BUT i definitely want to go right after our wedding, well give ourselves a day to recoup...and i am sooo excited bc FH actually came up with a great idea on what we should do for the HM
