Anyone not going to a tropical island-type location on their HM?
We are going to Memphis!! We are staying at the Heartbreak Hotel!!! I can't wait... We aren't island type people.... Plus, I don't fly... Never have, never will. I wanted to go somewhere in the country that would be really different that what I was used to. And as you can tell from my avatar pic, I love The King. Graceland, baby, here we come!!!
Anyone else going on a not-so-typical HM??

Were going to my parents lake house.
Heres some shots I took last year. 1st I took from the dock (front yard), 2nd I took of my house with a rainbow over it, while on my wave runner and the last from the inside of the house in the fall.
Its always been my favorite place in the world & its FREE!

London & Paris. We are not beachy, island people. We would rather see the museums, and historical places in Europe. Can't wait to smooch with FH on the banks of the River Siene!

We went to The Serengeti on a Safari and then to Zanzibar, whihc is an island off the coast of Afria.

we took a mini-honeymoon to Mystic, CT right after the wedding. And we are planning a New England trip for this winter. We're not thr tropical beach kinda people

Good to see others are feeling the same way as FH and me. I too would rather spend the top seeing history and museums than on a beach. Whenever I tell people Memphis they say look at me a little strange and say, 'Really? Oh, well that should make for some interesting pictures!'

Yea we aren't having a honeymoon as of now. We have a 1 year old and it's very hard for us to leave her for a long period of time. Our options are to either go somewhere local for a few days (leave her with my parents) or go somewhere nice and bring her(not much of a honeymoon though!)
Anyone have any local suggestions for a short mini honeymoon?

The poconos has some really nice things to do. Or you can go to Connecticut or Jersey or anywhere in Pennsylvania is nice.

I understand.....I have a 5 year old. She's starting school this September...I can't believe it. We are only staying on our honeymoon for 5 days. I can't do anything more than that. She's need us. But at least we get to get a way for a little while.
