Anyone not going to make their minimum

I think I am going to come up short.

I sent out STD last July, but the fact they were a magnet and could be put on the fridge to remind you of an upcoming wedding on Memorial Day weekend apparently was lost on some of my guests...Many, including family members, are sending back the reply that they already made plans for the holiday, or are going away that weekend!

I'm just afraid of coming up REALLY short. Anyone else?

I am most probably going to come up a little short... but this is no suprise to me.. i have kind of expected it all along and didnt get my hopes up. I booked my hall and ballroom b/c I fell in love with it and didnt care how many guests would show up ( or I would have found a room with a smaller min.)-- I am looking at it instead of paying for uneaten plates as I am paying a flat fee of X amount no matter how many people come ( b/c I am definitly not going over the limit) it makes me feel better.

That's a good way to look at it.

I loved our room also, and even planned a Sunday afternoon wedding so I could have it for a lower minimum, but I'm losing about 20% of my guests.

I loved our room also, and even planned a Sunday afternoon wedding so I could have it for a lower minimum, but I'm losing about 20% of my guests.

The only reason they let me put my min so low ( its 150 and normally they want at least 200) was b/c it was a sunday night in february... other then that from what i hear they really dont budge much on the min.
Right now I am not on speaking terms with my father if I were to invite some of his family though I would definitly meet the min.

I don't have a minimum but we will end up having 120 - We invited about 200 or so people (closer to 215 since mom and dad invited some extra friends)

Now we KNEW about 30 or them would NOT be coming for age reasons etc - BUT we sent out STD's and NO ONE called and said oh but I'm sorry I won't be there - ALMOST ALL OF FH's side of the family said no!

I'm definately going to make my minimum. We are inviting 300 our min. is 200.

If anyone needs to fill their minimum I will come to the wedding

Dammmmmmmmnnnnnnnnnn julz lol I dont even know 300 people. I would have to pass out flyers on the street to come to my wedding!

I'll reserve a table for you and your DH at my LIW table

I may have to take you up on that as well... THats are worry at the moment.

We are waiting on about 91 people to rsvp. some of them i know will come... but some of FH's family are fighting now, and they may not be able to get over themselves for one day to come to our wedding!!! We have nothing to do with it so why make us suffer???

ANYWAYZ... my dad is being a good sport about it saying there will be more food for us then. But i feel bad having him pay for people that aren't there.

so we'll probably tell people we invited without guests, to bring one. not sure what else to do... we invited everyone we know pretty much.

julz---heres an invite to my wedding too...lol
I know we wont make our min and its only 125...I hope we are not too short, ten at the most? But my mom already said once I leave shes asking for the food for the imaginary people we paid for...think I can talk her out of that one!?

We didn't make our minimum. We're about 15 ppl short!!
We certainly didn't expect it, we thought we'd just hit 150. It stinks, but what are you going to do? More time to spend with my guests, and more food for the rest of us!

Julz is going to be very busy this year!!

That is what I did - I asked the LIW ladies who had been the most supportive and helpful to me during my planning and they are pretty much all coming!
