anyone not have their first dance song yet?

anyone not have their first dance song yet?

We have been going back and forth with a few that we like but I haven't had one that just struck me the right way, know what I mean?

For those of you who found 'the song', how did you find it? Did you pick a song that had significance in your relationship or just a song you really like?

we went back and forth for a while. I wanted Edwin McCain 'I could not ask for more' or Van Morrison 'Tupelo Honey' but then one night we were at a bar and someone played DMB 'Crush' which we always dance to at a bar so we said 'This is it.' Unfortunately, it is 8 minutes long so our DJ is going to edit it to fit.

The Knot has a lot of good ones, too.

we haven't decided on one yet either. We like a few but each of them has a line in it we hate. For example we love the song true companion but there is a line in it about making love. I do not want my relatives (especially the 80 year old ones) picturing me and my FH making love!!!

Our wedding is in 54 days and we don't have a song yet. The only song I can get my FH to agree to is Rainbow Connection by Kermit the Frog.

hah!

we dont have a 'our song' so we're thinking of dancing to something instrumental, like a mambo tune or tango & just playh it by ear, no pressure, no rehearsal- just naturally us.

we dont really dance, so it should be fun!

Is there a movie or show that's particularly important to both of you? maybe you could use a song from that

my FH and I are both big fans of Back to the Future and when we recently heard Earth Angel (the song that was played when the parents kissed for the first time as teens) we simultaneously said to each other, 'That should be our song.'

So, we have a first song for the time being...it may change as we get closer to our wedding date (we have over 300 days to go!)

Our song- Fields of Gold by Sting has a lot of meaning to it. We were between a few songs, but that one seemed to stand out the most.

The lyrics are amazing:

lyrics

'Fields of barley' means Earth and 'Fields of gold' means heaven.

Also the 1st concert we ever went to together was Sting at Jones Beach. It was so cold that night- we were snuggled up under a blanket listening to this song and I'll never forget how romantic it was

yes...we knew even before we were engaged what we would choose...rascal flatts...bless the broken road...it was just something we both agreed on....i feel like when you hear it, you will know(as cliche as that may sound)

FH and I have 94 days left... and no clue what song we're using. we have a lot of options that we love but can't narrow it down..

I love so high! That was my friends first dance song and it was so beautiful!

This has been something that I have been trying to think about lately. I was thinking of Everything I'd do, I'd do it for you by Bryan Adams, I love that song! Me and FH's 'song' is Iris by Goo Goo Dolls and I was thinking of that maybe. I also love Nothing Else Matters by Metallica. There are just too many damn songs to choose from! I love Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol!!!

My MOH danced to that - they got someone to choreograph a waltz for them. It was really cute!
