anyone not having flowergirl in a white/ivory dress?
My bm's are wearing red and I was thinking of putting the FG in pink. Do you think this would look ridiculous? SHould I just stick with ivory for her?

I love pink for a FG, in fact, chances are my FG will be wearing pink. However, I don't think I would like the pink FG dress with red BM dresses, a bit too Valentiney for my taste, unless of couse you are going for that look, then it is perfect.

I did pink flowergirl dresses, but my bridesmaids also wore pink. I don't know about the pink with red bridesmaid dresses, though.

my flower girl is wearing a red dress - well not totally red it has a red bodice with ribbon roses and an off white shirt and sleeves - i thought the all white look was just too much for her - she is blonde and she looked really washed out in all white

I don't know what color yet because I didn't pick out my bridesmaids dresses yet, but I want my flower girl to match the bridesmaids.

Re: anyone not having flowergirl in a white/ivory dress?
What color could I have her in then, other than ivory/white if the bm's are wearing red? I don't know if I have ever seen an FG dress in red before. Would that look right???

Re: anyone not having flowergirl in a white/ivory dress?
I also prefer not all white. I think the FG, should be more of a tiny version of the BMs, not the bride, but that's just my opinion. there are some very pretty white FGdresses.I think a very light pink will look fine with red, or you could get a patterned dress, with red in it, even if the basis of it is white. It may be easier to find something like that in the spring, cloer to your wedding.
Sometimes its easier to have the FG dress made, but I don't know if that's a possiblity for you.

i'm so glad everyone doesn't prefer all white for FG's...because i don't want to put my FG in all white either!and some people are questioning me way too much on that...

Re: anyone not having flowergirl in a white/ivory dress?
I had my flower girl in a lighter purple dress to go with the bridesmaids. Personally I think whote FG dresses look too much like a mini-bride which freaks me out a little bit!!

Re: anyone not having flowergirl in a white/ivory dress?
I had a last minute disaster having the FG dresses made so they wound up wearing white dresses-purchased on the morning on the wedding. MY BM also wore red so it is difficult finding a nice color to go with them. I was trying to do a dress with red accents and a red sash, similar to this but not quite. I think an all red dress is too loud for a little girl. I'm not crazy for pink but it might be cute.

Re: anyone not having flowergirl in a white/ivory dress?
I really like jennyg's fg, how she is just a bit lighter than the bm's. However, with me doing red, the only shade lighter I could think of(because I think red would be weird for a little girl) is pink. Does anyone have any other suggestions ???PLEASE !!!

Re: anyone not having flowergirl in a white/ivory dress?
Mine will be in pink - they all wanted it and I'm happy being the only one in white.
Maybe you can do a white or ivory with a color accent - pink, red, wine. Or go with a dress made of raw silk - they colors tend to be softer.
