I'm undecided on this...part of me says it would be really nice, but another part says, its not necessary & a waste of money. What are your thoughts?

Re: Anyone NOT ordering toasting flutes/cake cutter?
We didn't...or should I say didn't plan on it. DH's Sister bought us the Love Knots set as a Thank You for something we did... I was more than pleased. But...we really we're not planning on buying or even getting those items as a gift. It was one of the places we were cutting back.

I am NOT buying them. I have two beautiful champagne flutes at home that I will use and will use the cake cutter that the hall provides.

Nope! I'm paying the hall enough $$$$ - - - they can loan me flutes and servers galore! It's just not important to me.

Re: Anyone NOT ordering toasting flutes/cake cutter?
I received about 3 sets of toasting glasses for engagement gifts and I registered for a cake cutting set that match one of them. If I don't get it, I will probably just buy it because I really love it.

I did not order them, did not get them and definitely did not need them for the wedding.

We bought our toasting flutes 3 years ago at Macys - Lenox on sale for 10.00. I am not going with the knife set. just a dust collector.

Re: Anyone NOT ordering toasting flutes/cake cutter?
No. I won't be ordering either. The past weddings I've been to none used toasting flutes/ cake cutter. I'll be using what the catering hall provides.

Re: Anyone NOT ordering toasting flutes/cake cutter?
hmmm...I was going to buy a cake cutter set until I read this post. We didn't register for one but I was waiting to see if I got one for my shower. But I agree with a lot of other girls that it's not that important to me. Maybe we'll just use the one the hall provides (God knows we're paying for that too!)
Oh and FMIL bought us our toasting glasses that we registred for. Nothing too fancy but something we really liked.

We didn't and we got both bought for our e-party...didn't use either the day of though since didn't want to worry about them -were Waterford(they would have been fine though at CLM!).... my mom gave me a cheaper cake cutter with a white bow that we used though.

We didn't buy any. We used what was provided by the hall. IMO-waste of money.

Re: Anyone NOT ordering toasting flutes/cake cutter?
I think I'm doing the flutes but not the cake cutter - just don't care that much about it.
