Anyone not wanting a surprise shower?

I don't want to be surprised! Surprise is just another word for ambush IMO. I'd rather be ready (hair, makeup, outfit) to be the center of attention and have my picture taken a thousand times. Anyone with me?

I totally agree! I know mine is comming up but I hate not knowing the exact date! It is killing me!!!

I feel the same exact way!
I HATE suprise's and no one wants to be the one to tell me when it is!
Im just gonna wear them down one by one

i want to be surprised. once i become a registry peeker, i know that it will be coming

i totally agree! I was happy that I knew when my shower was! I was ready in my cute new dress

i hate suprises when I know there's a suprise...

So, for this, I want to know what's coming up.

And I do know some of what's going on... but my bm's like refuse to tell me the guest list.

Who the heck cares? I know who's coming to the wedding - it's not like it's going to boggle me who's there.

I told people when my NY shower had to be because of school and traveling plans I actually didn't mind not being surprised...fun to get ready with my sisters who got all emotional...can't imagine the big day!

I know when and where my shower is.. I need to prepare myself for it!! I can't stand surprises.. and either can my mom she would have wound up telling me anyway

I didn't want a surprise either so I know when mine is. I think it is fine. Anything goes in 2005!

mine is out of state, and I already know when it's going to be.... lol

I was thinking today that there is a benefit to knowing in advance. I bought the cutest pink sandals at Nordstrom Rack today and was thinking that they would look so nice for my shower in August! (assuming that I can find an outfit to match!!!)

I want to know when mine is. I have a few ideas. Its killing me not to know. I told my sister not to let me show up some place in flip flops and sweats. She promised me that. I think its so much easier to know. especially with the time of year. I keep getting invites to things and I cannot reply yes. My mom is old fashion and thinks it should be a surprise.

Not me!!! I want to know that I can't look like a slob that weekend. My FI is pretty good with that though - he knows I hate going out looking like a mess.

I just had mine this past Saturday..I knew about it. I'm not too big on the whole attention thing (as in walking down the aisle..petrified!). My mom flew in from Seattle, so that's why I knew about it....worked for me!

I want to be surprised too! That's what makes it so exciting and fun I'll just start dressing much nicer on the weekends closer to my wedding date
