I am so sorry to hear all of this My little sister is 18 and I totally know how it feels to be a big sis and worry about them just as much as a parent would. I will send lots of prayers your sister's way so she is strong enough to be there for her friend, as well as handle her relationship situation. Keep us posted

This is so sad, I am so sorry & understand how shocked you are. I've had an ex tell me he would kill himself if we broke up & then and since then, I've always thought of it as guilt tripping to stay with the person but at the time, in the back of your mind you can't help but think, what if. Then I read your story & have a hard time wrapping my mind around it as well. Again, I am sorry & hope your sister gives her friend the support & love she needs along with her loved ones.

thanks guys its so tough being a big sis especially since im not there in florida with my fam.....and i cant even imagine how hard it is to be a parent

I just read this post and gosh I feel so bad. That poor girl is probably going through so much right now. I send her tons of prayers and hopefully she gets the support she needs through friends and family. Your sister also has to be strong and maybe by chance this will take her in the opposite direction and both her and her boyfriend will break up. So sorry this must be so hard for you especially since your sis lives far from you.

thanks guys, my sister told me today that her and her friend went to the guidance conselors to talk - which im glad they did that.....her friend has been staying at my parents house since saturday when it happened, i guess she doesnt want to be alone.....i feel so bad.....i think that she may have actually heard him do it over the phone which i cant even imagine....they are having some type of memorial tomorrow that i think they are going too....so i am assuming things are okay with her and his family - i havent talked to my sister that much because her friend is always with her and i dont want to ask to many questions while her friend is right there.....my mom is pretty emotional so its probably taking a toll on her - to see my sister and her friend uspet over this....

omg im so sorry! I actually had a crazy ex like this too when i was a senior in high school and i was afraid to break up wit him bc he kept threatening his life...thank god he didnt act upon it and i was able to get out of the relationship..i cant even imagine what this girl must be going through

OMG I'm so sorry!!! I'm sorry that your sister's friend is dealing with that and that it brings back bad memories for you.

I am so sorry to hear of this tragedy. Hope your sister's friend gets all the supports she needs to cope with this situation. As for your sister she cannot continue to date someone she doesn't love for fear that he is going to commit suicide. Maybe your mom should speak to the kids mother so that he may get help for stating such horrible things. I'm so sorry and I know this is a difficult time for everyone, but you don't want your sister stuck with someone who can have suicidal thoughts. Do you have anyone else she can stay here in NY with. Maybe it would do her good to start college out here and leave him behind. Just my opinion. Hope everything gets better.

I am so sorry It must be so hard that u are not there in FL right now.... but remember your a phone call away and I am sure just hearing ur voice will make ur sister feel better..

Ur sister and her friend are in my thoughts and prayers during this very tough time

Oh wow... that is so horrible. It's scary when stuff like this happens.

You probably read about this in Newsday, but my sister's friend and HS classmate was murdered last year by her friend's upset ex-boyfriend. My sister's friend (A) had told her friend (B) that B's boyfriend was scary and A was afraid the bf was dangerous. B ended up breaking up with the bf eventually, and the bf went nuts and went on a killing spree, killing B and A who was visiting B at college for her birthday, and then killing himself.

I know it's stereotypical but I never really thought of guys committing suicide, especially over a girl. It's a very real thing and important to take it seriously. I wish the best for you and your sister and everyones families

omg :( i feel so bad for the family and the girl to have these emotions @ such a young age to go through something like this-and that you had to also as well.

your sister needs to figure out a way to get out of her relationship..maybe go out of state college as an excuse? or even say she's moving to NY for a chg?



my best friends girl who is not from america threatens my boy that she will kill herself if she isn't with him- he has no interest in her & bangs other chiks on the side..i tell him to watch out for her bc she also stalks him she may end up killin u..its sad bc think she will kill him- she tells me stories that she WATCHES HIM sleep - NUTSSSSSSO im glad she's back in Russia but she's finding away 2 come back to the states- AND she some how had him ready to marry her for papers girl is 20 yrs old. and he's 28 he doesn't know how to get rid of her even if she's in moscow.
