Is anyone else staying home or stayed home for their first anniversary? Last year at this time we were planning to take a trip or stay in the city, instead we bought a house and still have yet to sell our co-op, so 2 mortgages has kept us tied to home on our first anniversary. We figured we'd open some champagne, light a fire, broil some lobsters, and watch our wedding video the raw footage. There's no place like home! I guess for our paper anniversary the title of a house is fitting.

We aren't staying home for our anniversary. But I just wanted to say.....I Hope you have a lovely romantic 1st Anniversary.

We stayed home!! We went out to dinner the night before, but for our actual anniversary we cooked a nice romantic dinner at home. To add to the romance we lit candles, played a CD of our wedding music, and opened up a bottle of wine from our wedding night.
ETA: We also just bought our house so we're in the same boat, otherwise we may have gone on vacation. Remember, it's not where you are but who you're with that makes the day special and memorable!!!!

We stayed home. We actually drove back from Newport, RI on our anniversary, but spent the afternoon and evening in our home relaxing with one another, had a nice home made dinner and our replica cake.
