Anyone opinion about food at Astoria World Manor?

I was quoted at Astoria World Manor $ 60pp for Saturday afternoon in January and we think price is OK.
But I am troubled since friend of mine sister in law had an event over there and she said that food was tasteless and bland.
Any feedback on this topic?

I can only tell you that my parents got married there almost 36 yrs ago. I wanted to look into since we are getting married on their anniversary but, my mom talked me out of it.
Are you looking for a place that is in queens or inexpensive?

I grew up in Astoria and AWM is just not the same as it was 25-30 years ago. I have heard bad things about the place itself, about the food, the service, etc.

I wouldn't even consider it for a party.

If you're looking in Queens for something inexpensive try Verdi's in Whitestone, Caffe on the Green in Bayside - both are pretty and have party rooms for weddings.
