I have a Golf and I hate it...this morning on the way to work my window dropped!! This is the second time this has happened. The last time they tolf me it could happen at any time so keep a plastic nag handy!
Since I had had to car (its 2 years old) I can't tell you how many times I have been at the damn shop!
Apparently any VW made prior to 2003 have plastic clips holding the window up and they can snap at any time...especially in the cold!!
Newer models have metal clips!!

Yes I do and so does Husband we are VW all the way yes we have had a problems with them but I keep going back to get them!!! I've had 3 Jetta 89,96 and now a 02 Jetta diesel and love it cause of the gas alone!! I also had the problem with the windows but it was a recall I think and I got it done for free by the dealer!! check with them!!I also just got another recall in the mail about a relay switch??

I own a beautiful 69 Volkswagon bus..hippie style! I havent driven it in a few years though, the motor blew and its just been sitting. We planned to fix it up and make it our beach mobile, but now I am going to sell it , or try to sell it to help pay for our adoption!
Alicia.....DH would SO buy that thing....he owned a Van when he was younger and totally redid it...he wants to do it again! Is it a van or a camper with the pop top?

HI! Its not a pop top, but the seats fold out into a full bed, it has a sink and the cooler/refrigerator, it has the ability to camp and hook it up to power..I want to restore it too...that was my plan..but dont see it happening anytime soon with the boys coming and all..its sad story..I dont really want to part with it..It makes me very sad. Ive had it for years..it was my fun mobile..man we used to pile so many people in that thing and drive it all over the place. I think Im saying I want to sell it, but when It comes down to it..I dont know if I could really do it. Did you husband have the vanagon? I love em!!!!

I have a love/hate relationship with my '99 Passat. You can read about my recent woes if you do a search for the post I ran about hating Legend Autorama. Just to add to that post, I had to have my rotar cuff and rear brakes done this month too!

This too has happened to me 2 times(I have a Jetta). They recalled this problem, something with the belts in the window. It's been about 5 months since they 'fixed' it, we'll see. Other than that I love my Jetta.

I just got a 2005 Jetta. had many VW's over the years and many, many miles I've never had problems although know some people that have

'99 passat owner here! I only have 34,000 miles on it and have had TONS of problems! I HATE the car and can't wait to get rid of it! Problem is I own it and don't want another car payment yet!

I had a 98 Beetle. I bought it brand new. From the 3 month mark and on I had nothing but problems. I sold the car after my 2 year bumper to bumper was up and bought an Infiniti. I will never buy a VW. Customer service blows and they are poorly made cars. I know too many people with VW with many problems.

My cousin has a VW and she HATES it. the same thing happened with her windows and somehting with her radio. She cant wait until the lease is up!!!!!

Just picked my car up tonight...I mean on the one hand I hate it....but I am also attached because it was my first new car!
I just wish I wasn't going to the shop all the time
