I've heard it's a major etiquette no-no for a bride to wear a watch on her wedding day

I've been thinking about it. I have a Swarovski covered Bulova that FH bought me for Christmas one year. If I do wear one, it'll be that one.

Re: Anyone planning on wearing a watch...

No, but not because of any etiquette reasons...just because I don't often wear them, and the ones I do wear are either Hello Kitty or Julius (the Paul Frank monkey!). If I had a very dressy one, I'd consider it.

DEFINITELY NOT!

i told my mom i want all the clocks covered in the house the day of cuz i dont want to have to look at the time ONCE!

i told my mom that SHE can be in charge of telling me 'its time to get up, its time to get to the salon' etc etc...

after all, its the last morning she'll be able to do that anyway!!! she should be happy to!

Nope.

My friend wore one at her wedding and it just didn't look right at all. I thought it made her look too casual in a way, if that makes sense. I didn't even know it was an etiquette thing too.
