I dont know what is a good brand (we dont travel often), and im not sure how much $ is normal? The ones I liked were about $180 a piece, others were $180 for a 5 piece set? I want to register for a set that will last us 10 years, or that has a warranty.

We registered for luggage. I don't remember the brand, but it was some brand that Fortunoffs sells (we just went by ones that we liked). We did the entire line, but broke it down by piece since each piece ranged from about $80 - $180/piece. I figured it was appropriate. HTH!!

we registered for ours!!!!!!!!!!! and ours ran anywhere from 90 to 350 a piece!!! they come with a lifetime warrany too

I intend to, but we didn't get to it yet. FH has luggage I know, but I have never been out of the country (or anywhere warranting luggage), so I desperately need.

We registered for Delsy luggage at Macy's and the pieces were between $130 and $200. My gram is buying luggage from LL Bean instead but if she wasn't going to, I'd really love to have the luggage we registered for!

I just registered tonight for luggage. We travel alot and my luggage is a little old so it is heave.
We went with TravelPro 3 pieces
carry on 22' expandable for him 25' expandalbe for me
They were on sale today at fortunoff around $130 - 150 for the larger pieces

I just bought FH a suitcase for Christmas at Marshalls, $50 for a Samsonite, which is a pretty decent brand. They had Delsey cheap too, which is comprable. I looked in a luggage store and two department stores for comparison and the same bag was about $180.
Best brands are Swiss Army and Tumi but they are the most expensive. Samsonite and Delsey are also really good, they are solid and tough but a little less pricey, but they have a normal life span, Tumis will last years and years, they are for the high travelers. Both Tumi and Swiss Army have a complimentary bag tracking program, but they should for they money you pay.
I just did a ton of research on this. He didn't want to register for luggage because he feels its not something that should be on a registry. I don't know why, I think its fine, but I have really good Tumi luggage so that was his call. I didn't think his bag would make it to and from Hawaii, so I thought it would be a perfect Christmas gift.

Its so funny that u mention that bc im in marshalls today thinking 'i need socks' and poof, there is my $280 luggage bag for $90. Im like what?! but then my fear is, do i loose the warranty if i dont buy it at BBB?

Yes, we are registered for luggage. Stay with the bigger names because they stand behind there products - such as American Tourister, Samsonite, Delsey, TravelPro& etc.

We are going to as I have a set but Fh doesn't. I have Samsonite and it has held up pretty well. One thing to think about and look into is the weight of the luggage itself, especially since airlines are being more picky about letting people bring on overweight luggage. The allowable is 50 lbs and you wouldn't want the luggage itself to be like 15-20 lbs of that. Also, someone suggested, instead of getting the huge suitcase, which will mostly cause you to be overweight because of how much it holds, to buy the two smaller cases instead.

Delsey is really well-made. Samsonite is good, too. I'd go with the Delsey Helium Pro...after much research, that's what we went with. Oh, and no need to register for the largest piece (29'). It's too big and heavy for most of the airlines now.

We registered for luggage! We are doing separate sets so we each have one. I know nothing about which ones are best I just chose mine because it was pretty and pink!
