Anyone remember those silly jump rope/hand games songs we used to sing?

They seem to be popping into my head a lot lately. The other day I couldn't get Fudge, Fudge, Call the Judge out of my head!!!

I remember my mom was livid the first time she ever heard me say

ooh, ah, lost my bra,
must've left it in my boyfriend's car

I'm goin to the fair
to see the senorita
with flowers in her hair

and Miss Mary mack
all dressed in black

What about 'Bo-Bo's keep whattin tattin, ah ah ah ah....'

Or........'Oh little playmate, come out and play with me' (and then there was the 'Oh little enemy' version too)

There was an oreo song also 'do you know exactly how to eat an Oreo....when you do it, you unscrew it...'

Some of these I've never heard of!!!!

I don't know but you HAVE to know Miss Lucy!!!
Oh, and I wanted to add that we learned these songs while waiting for the school bus. Did you take a bus to school?

Here's the words to 'Oh Little Playmate'
(Sorry, I have it stuck in my head so now I have to make you all sing with me....!)

Oh little playmate
Come out and play with me
And bring your dollies three
Climb up my apple tree
Slide down my rainbow
Into my cellar door
And we'll be jolly friends
Forever more, 1,2,3,4

Oh little playmate
I cannot play with you
My dolly has the flu
Boo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo
I have no rainbow
I have no cellar door
But we'll be jolly friends
Forever more, 1,2,3,4

You don't know Miss Lucy???

There's two:

There's 'Miss Lucy had a steamboat, Miss Lucy had a bell, Miss Lucy went to heaven and the steamboat went to Hello operator, give me number nine.....' etc.

And there's 'Miss Lucy had a baby, his name was Tiny Tim, she put him in the bathtub to see if he could swim. He drank up all the water, he ate up all the soap, he tried to eat the bathtub but it wouldn't fit down his throat......'

We did Miss Suzy not Miss Lucy...
I love these

Oh, Little Enemy
Come out and fight with me
And bring your beebee gun
and we'll have lots of fun
I'll shoot your eyes out
and make you scream and cry
And we'll be jolly enemies
for ever more
1 2 3 4

What were we thinking????

Ha ha! I know! So morbid. And we sang it a little different 'I'll poke your eyes out, and make you bleed to death......'

'I'll poke your eyes out and punch you in the face ...'
