anyone's pets ever on amoxicillian?

my cat had a urinary tract infection and was put on amoxicillian which didnt agree too well with her in the beginning. so unfortunately she threw up on our white carpet and the medication has stained my carpet badly. i have been resolving it for over a week now and it has not come out. any ideas? has this happened to anyone else??

thanks in advance!

Have you tried OxyClean on the stain? And maybe your cat was allergic to the amoxicillan?

Contact your vet...my DH was saying that this is somewhat common, did he have a full stomach?

Sometimes a vet will recommend stopping for one day and then the next day going back on the meds with a full stomach...but be sure to call your vet and get his opinion since he knows your cat and knows the history.

Re: anyone's pets ever on amoxicillian?

One of my cats was on amoxicillan for the same complaint. Originally they gave it to us in the liquid form but that did not agree with him (and he wouldn't swallow it either). Then they gave it to me in the tablet form and he took it that way and is all better now.

For pet carpet stains (hairballs etc.) I use resolve. You can get it at Home Depot or Lowes.

Good luck!
