My mom is going to see it, but after she bought the tickets she heard it wasn't that good. Hope that helps.

my co-workers went together - they said that unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The enjoyed the movie a lot more.

I just saw it a couple weeks ago and thought it was incredible. The actresses were very good, and considering it takes place in the hair salon, I thought they did a very good job.

Of course it's different from the movie since the movie has different scene changes in it while on Broadway the whole thing takes place in the Salon.

I would definitely recommend it.

I liked it. Once you get past the fact that it is not the actresses from the movie, they do a great job. The actresses who play Anelle (Darryl Hannah's character) and Clairee (Olympia Dukakis' char) are FANTASTIC. The lines are EXACTLY the same. I wasn't too thrilled with M'lynn (Sally Field's char.) but overall the story is great. I liked how they were really washing and doing hair on the stage.
