Anyone Selling Their Dress After Their Wedding?

Is anyone selling (or has anyone already sold) their dress after the wedding?

I'm not sure how I feel about this, but I'm considering it..only because we're broke and can use every bit of money we can get once the wedding is over. I'm just afraid I'd regret it afterwards, even though it would probably just end up sitting in a box somewhere int he basement for ever.

What are your thoughts on this?

I plan on keeping it and later taking part of it and having it made into a baptismal gown for a daughter or son! It's a nice way to keep its sentimental value

ooh, thats a really good idea actually! Might have to consider that depending on the financial situation after the wedding...if i'm not desparate for money that might be a good way to put it to use. Thanks!

I want to keep mine but what am I going to do with it, try in on everyday after the wedding . It ***** that you have to wear it for one day only. If I spend a crazy amount on the dress I will sell it on ebay or something, I wouldn't want it to collect dust in the closet or stored in a box somewhere while the bugs eat it up, lol. I will take lots and lots of pics to cherish

I am going to sell it because I will have pictures of it. Thats enough for me. I will never take it out of the box again because sittign in my livign room fingering it would be a bit odd, and if you're not going to do that, why keep it so it collects dust in an attic?

I had thought to keep it so if I someday had a daughter she could wear it, BUT the truth of the matter is, styles change FAST and dresses do age. My moms is waaay too small for me and totally 60's style with the high neck. I figure instead of gambling on a daughter I don't even have, why not make an actual soon-to-be bride happy by letting her get her hands on an affordable dress?

No, I also plan on making Christening outfits out of my train.
I'm a mush, I keep everything! I have the movie stub from the first movie FH and I went to!

I probably wouldn't sell mine right away, but i wouldn't be opposed to selling it if we really needed the money... (Unless I really do have my brother make it, then I would keep it for sentimental value)
