Anyone shop during their lunch....

I work in NYC specifically the Chelsea area and there is a lot of shopping in the area. I find myself bringing bags home of stuff a few times a week. What else is there to do during lunch...the only way I am safe is if I don't leave the office. Does anyone else have this problem? I just picked up another pair of shoes....I can't stop!

I try not to shop during lunch, it could get VERY DANGEROUS!

I used to shop at least once a week but after I got engaged I had to break myself of this habit. The only way to stop is to not go out. But yesterday after 5 months of eating lunch at my desk, I went to lunch with my shopping partner (I do almost all of my shopping w/ her) and don't you know I spent $$$ that I don't have (but I bought such cute things! )

not now I'm not.. THANK GOD our offices moved.. or I would be so dead.. Prada/Gucci/Burberry/Bergdof's they used to all be downstairs! lol

*raises hand to admit her addiction to shopping on her lunch hour* I have shopped every day this week, I keep using the excuse, its my b-day after all I miss the WTC. Now we have to trek all the way to South Street Seaport

I agree with Shamma. When I worked downtown when the WTC was there I worked in 2 locations. One of my offices was 3 WFC and I didnt have to go very far for great stores and in the summer when all the vendors would come and take over Church street. Oh how those were the days.

Then we were moved to Wall Street and I still walked every other week (when it was pay day) and was in the WTC for 2 hours just shopping, going for lunch, walking around the area.

I love downtown manhattan. It has such great shops.

When I worked I was always shopping in the summer time.

Now I sit home all day and go on LIW

I can shop anywhere, I am not a shopaholic, I am a shoeaholic I will buy clothes ocassionally but I am a shoe freak. I need help. Does anyone know of any programs

Shamma I do the same thing. My b-day is in July so I have so many excuses to go clothes and sandle shopping.

Its an outfit for my birthday, its the summer I need new sandals...

I always find an excuse to shop

OMG, I miss the WTC too!! I got a job on John street, Aug. 2001 and my first week at lunch I called my shopping partner who was starting work Sept. 10 2001 down here nearby and I was giving her a rundown of every store that was in there so we could shop together...but instead we have to settle for the seaport.

I knew the whole layout. One would swear I had a blue print of the mall in my desk draw.

The seaport is still nice. Its great in the summer time (except those tourists. I wanted to throw some of them in the water)

I am the worst lunch-shopper EVER!!!!!!!

I work on 57th & 5th!!! Right by, Saks, Bloomies, Bergdorf's, club Monaco, J crew, Prada, Gucci, Fendi, Tiffany's, Armani X, I MEAN EVERYTHING within a 5 block radius!!!!!!!!

FH wants me to find a job out of the city JUST SO I CAN QUIT SHOPPING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ack. You guys should see me. My clothes are threadbare, holes in the shirts, hems falling out, linings torn...I'm barely holding it together! Tax refund check coming next week and then I'll buy some new clothes! This wedding is killing us.....

Chippa...the freaking camp kids in the summer HAVE GOT TO GO! I used to eat my lunch over there so I could work on my pathetic tan and they're all over the place in their yellow t-shirts... drives me nuts!
