I just cant understand why and how these photographers cost so damn much??

Photo was something I was willing to splurge on. But when I compared the work of an inexpensive photographer to that at some pricey studios, I found that I was not impressed enough to spend all the extra money. The less expensive photog had gorgeous work and he explained how he managed his costs. Also, we really liked him and felt comfortable with him. That's important too.

My place offers 2 photographers no matter what package you choose. They range from 2000 to 5000. Mine is a little expensive because I went with a digital album, but they had a really great package for 3000. Video is another story. I am definitely in the wrong business.

welll...we got uber lucky....close friend of GMs wife did photos for their wedding...SO ..we got him! He does photgraphy for the love of it..and is totally professional but since it isn't his livelyhood...he's charging us less than $1000....so our photo budget of $1500 is met...once we get prints and table cams developed...but he's including all negs, developement, proofs and he's with us the WHOLE DAY...7am-6pm.
Knowing artists is great.

My Photography pkg is $3499 and my Video guy is $2770.
I went to 7 photographers before choosing!! I was surprised how much they are!!

Nope! I was horrified at the prices originally and ended up with a $4,500 package (plus tax), which was one of the most reasonable. We're not even doing a video!

My package is 2000, it includes around 1000 pictures, 600 digital, 400 b/w or color proofs, all negs. Two guys, one ten hour and one five hour. It doesn't include any albums though, just a photo cd to music, and a cd with all other photos.

mine is 3261 for photo and 1400 for video..photos of the heart really great people..they seem to be the best and most reasonable

YES! All I have to say is twelfth night!!! I am paying $1140 for 2 photographers for 2 hours and then one for the following 6 hours. This doesn't include albums but Dominic will teach you how to make your own, or you can pay him to do it- but it will definitely cost less than $2500. Not to mention- their work is AMAZING!! He is also so honest and sold me on the cheaper package!! Check them out!
