I read in a magazine about this bride who wanted to be 'natural' on her wedding day.
She got eyelash extensions (which im doing on thursday) and she did all this stuff to bring her hair back to its natural darker color & other things to make it shiny...
She also started this skin care regiment too, so she didnt have to wear foundation...
Is anyone doing any of this?

oh i didnt even think to say this since ive been doing it for a while now but i see others mentioned it...But yeah ive been tanning for months and will continue to keep my color until then.
ALSO this may sound crazy to some but i am considering it bc im afraid im going to be real hot with my dress on but ive read alot about ppl who get botox injected in their armpits so they wont sweat at all. Alot of celebrities do this before big events...IF i were to do it, it would be a one time thing and i want to find out more info about this first
I know my derm. does this... I've heard good things but you need several treatments.
hmmm so i would have to get this more than once? thanks for letting me know...i actually have an appointment with my derm on thursday so while im there ill ask him about this and see what he says about it. FH's brother was telling me yesterday about him sweating the day of and i mentioned i might do this so i said maybe we'll go do it together lol

i've heard that the botox works. i would like it in my face - last time i got a facial the girl recommended retinol for my emerging laugh lines but i don't think i'm gutsy enough to do that. i need to go to a derm though.
do you do the spray tan or regular tanning bed? I definitely have to consider this b/c unless I fly somewhere warm for my BP (which I doubt) that's my only option for being tan for the wedding.
no dont get it in your face yet, youre still young and beautiful, they say that to you and point out things that nobody notices so you can give them more money.
I use a tanning bed, its funny bc i used to be so anti-tanning w** happened to me lol, Fh influenced me and now im corrupted hahahahaaha, in my head i make sense of it saying that hey i stayed out of the sun for years so its ok for now lol.
thanks I really wont i'm just wondering if there are other options - like i should use more anti-aging stuff (so i'm a sucker and bought the retinol) b/c that's the first time they ever said that to me. all i use is regular moisturizer
I'm a total sun worshipper but i've taken it down a notch as i've gotten older (but really only on my face). i only did a tanning bed once for my prom like 10 years ago... I def want some good color for my wedding but not sure if the bed or the spray tan is the way to go.
what i REALLY want to do is plan a trip to the caribbean the weekend before so i'm tan for the wedding!

My biggest thing is to start eating right and going to the gym regularly. If I do that and drink a lot of water I start to see changes in my skin, energy and shape!
I will be getting my teeth whitened but have wanted to do that for years.
I will probably get a facial or two before just to really make skin glow!
Other then that, waxing nails etc are part of my regular routine so nothing different there.
Espo -- I don't think Botox is crazy. I have considered this myself since I seem to have developed this sweating problem -- even if I am cold.

yeah use different creams, if you go get a facial at a spa they have more creams to suggest than a derm would.
Alot of beds now you get a natural look and you cant tell the person went tanning, this would have to be one of their higher beds though keep that in mind. You can try the spray but i hear mixed reviews but definitely try it a while before the wedding just to see if you like it.

see i used to use the clear & dri deodorant that clogs your pores completely and it really does work but when you first start using it your skin tingles ALOT and feels a big weird plus you get very itchy from it, after a while it was fine but after a few months of using it i had skin discoloration, it turned this weird yellow-ish color so i stopped using it...yeah im definitely gonna ask the derm about it though, with all that make up, extensions, heavy dress i know ill be so hot so dont want to worry about that, and i especially dont want sweat stains when im wearing white lol

And I wanted to do the eye brown shaping to be perfect. How do you ladies go about doing that?

think about the shape you want and go to someone who is good and keep going to make sure you keep it up and give them the time to achieve it

Re: Anyone start a new....
I started walking in the summer but have not been that consistent with it. I'll do it steadily for 3 weeks, then slack off for 2. I do notice a difference in my legs when I do it regularly. I have to get my *** up earlier so that I can start walking in the morning since veryy soon it will be too dark when I get home. I also plan on doing sit ups and arm and leg exercises soon. I like the regular facials idea ... and I am growing my hair out :)

Re: Anyone start a new....
I am using a lightening cream mostly for my face I feel like after the summer unfortunately as much as I try to stay away , I do get sun damage so I'm trying to alleviate it somehow.....lol I think its kinda funny that people are doing tanning. In my case I dont' think I look good esp in pictures w/a tan especially in my face.

I would be really very careful in considering eyelash extensions they really damage your real eyelashes and unless you're planning to get them for the rest of your life I would stay away from them. JMO...my good friend got them and I saw first hand how beautiful they were in the beginning but later they strip away and ruin your own lashes.
I guess it depends. They shouldn't ruin your lashes if they are done right. They fall out with your natural lash when it is ready to fall out- I don't see how it could damage lashes that didn't grow yet?! I'll look into this more

I've had them for several occassions, they were applied by a professional and I had no issue. I will actually have 2 sets for my wedding, demur for ceremony, sensational when we kick the party up a notch
