Anyone taking the upcoming Nassau PD test? Or FH or DH's??

Hi,

Just a quick question for everyone:

My FH is taking the Nassau County PD test this Thursday. He is now concerned of the pay cut that will come along if this works out. For the first 6 months, he will be making about $30k less than he is now! Then after 6 months, goes up $10k... But won't be making what he's making now, until about 2 years in. Anyone been in a situation like this? I am working and making a decent amount of money, so we will not end up struggling. He's just not used to NOT having money... Anyone have any advice on how to deal with this? This is worth the pay cut right?

FH taking the test right now! He hasn't taken a test in about 10 years!

I too am taking the Suffolk test in March. We'll see what happens!

Good luck to you too! I actually was ALMOST in the NYPD. Made it past physical and then chickened out. I went to school for Criminal Justice and almost regret not following through.
