Anyone think they might cry christmas morning?

Anyone think they might cry christmas morning?

I guess this is a question for those that didn't live with their DH until after they got married.

I think I am going to be really sad to not be with my family. I love my husband, but I will miss all the chaos!

I won't be able to go to my familys house for Christmas either, BUT......we're doing a Web Cam Christmas!!!! Can't wait! I'll be able to see everyone opening presents and having a good time! Not like being there.....but close enough :) :)

I know it might be sad, but you'll be with your husband, and that should make it better for you!!! :)

I definitely will because I never lived outside my house prior to getting married and have spent every Christmas morning with my parents and sister since the day I was born so it will be an emotional day for me.

I was nervous about this until we got married.

My sister and neice also live with ym brother adn parents so it will be sad not seeing her open presents, theres nothing like a child's face Christmas morning!

But I am SO excited to have our own Christmas!!!! I'll see my family afterwards

Dont worry, it will be fine

I was thinking the same thing recently. Even though DH and I lived together last year and I lived on my own for many years before that, I've always woken up on Christmas morning at my parents' house.

Even last year, DH stayed over at my parents' with me (my father was in the hospital over Christmas and it was far from a normal Christmas). This year, we're spending Christmas Eve night with DH's family and going to church in our parish. We'll go to my parents sometime in the morning.

I'm starting to tear up now, thinking about it. I'm such a baby!

Oh, Donna!

Last year DH and I spent our first Christmas morning together and while I initially thought I'd be sad - I LOVED IT! We hosted Christmas Eve with his family and it was so nice and relaxing to sleep in a bit Christmas morning - we made a huge breakfast, opened up our gifts and headed out to my family's big christmas party at about 1pm. . . not having the craziness of cleaning the house, prepping the food and doing all sorts of assorted tasks Christmas morning was really great - I hope this year is as good as last years!

I'm not loving my sisters right now so I'm almost glad to not have to see them first thing in the morning. Is that terrible? (ps: don't tell me it is please! )

This is my 1st christmas out of the house as well. I am beyond excited to wake up to my husband on christmas, but sad that I wont be at my parents until later that morning. There is nothing like my parents and I all being in our PJS opening christmas gifts in the morning, even at the age of 30

Me too. We live in MI, and have for the past 3 Christmases, so this is what we've done.

waking up with husband at parents.

Love my family to death, but I am actually looking forward to the day that I wake up with just my husband on Christmas morning... that probably won't happen until we have kids and can't drive up 10 hours!

We'll be at my parents friday and saturday but Sunday will be very hard. Not only is it the first year without my DH's mother but also not being with my family on xmas. This whole 'splitting the holidays' is definitely tricky.

I don't know if I'll cry Christmas morning. It's always a rushy morning for us, and we traditionally opened our gifts Christmas Eve. Maybe then.

I almost did last night--we went to see the tree at Rockefeller, and I was thinking that the last time we did that, we were not living together, engaged but we didn't have our wedding date yet, and we went to our separate apartments afterwards! It was nice to go home together yesterday.
