I am and I know one of my friends is not. I was just wondering what all of you were doing.

Must be Pluto!
I am having a hard time with this too. I plan on taking my FH name, but might change my middle name to my last. If I don't do that, I may use my maiden name professionally.
who knows- maybe I will get over it and I will just change it all together

Re: Anyone undecided about changing their name?
I was having a hard time with this issue when we first got engaged but now, as a married woman, I have no problem changing my name. My initials will stay the same, so that may have helped me.

Re: Anyone undecided about changing their name?
I have heard that legally, its not that easy to move your maiden name to your middle name...that is what I wanted to do, so that I would be hmichick maiden name his last name, with my maiden name as my new middle name. I have no brothers, so I want to keep my last name in some way, but I dont like the way hyphenated names look (JMO). I am hoping I can do it, we are going to get marriage licence on 8/6 so I will see then. I also plan on using my maiden name in my childrens name somehow- I have a nice simple Irish last name, so it can be used for a boys first or middle name.

HEY PLUTO. THAT'S A NICE EASY NAME TO BE GIVING UP! I DON'T WANT TO CHANGE MY NAME BUT MY FH WANTS ME TO BECAUSE HE IS VERY TRADITIONAL. STILL UNDECIDED.

Re: Anyone undecided about changing their name?
I'm w/ Kathy- I have a hard/difficult last name now, that NO ONE can even pronounce. I'm changing it b/c I am not proud of my current last name. My father did nothing for me, so.... it's getting dropped like a bad habbit. I'm honored to take my FH's last name
